SERVICES

Semi Independent accommodation & Support
Our semi-independent homes are staffed 24 hours a day by a member of our highly trained staff who build strong professional relationships with the young people.
The level of support provided will be increased or decreased as required and in consultation with the placing authority to meet individual needs, and in particular those young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities who may require 1:1 support 24 hours a day.
Our staff team assesses and document every aspect of the young person’s daily living to establish their level of independence and what areas require support to develop.
Key-working sessions run weekly help young people build up skills in areas that require extra support until a safe level of Independence is achieved and young people can then be supported in the transition to their own home.

Outreach

Our Community Outreach service aims to provide individually-tailored support for those young people in their own homes when they progress into independent living. The service is available to young people who have resided within our semi-independent house and those living in the community. The service is included in our basic package for Foundations YSS residents for the first 4 weeks of their transition into independent living. Any further support required will be arranged by the responsible local authority. The aim of this service is to support young people to settle in and uphold their tenancies.

Mentoring

Vibe is our bespoke mentoring programme. We link our trained volunteers who are professionals from all walks of life. They give up a bit of their time to motivate, guide and assist young people considered to be at risk of offending, socially excluded or in need of support. Mentors are positive role models who inspire, encourage and guide young people to achieve their potential. They offer personalised one-to-one support and group interventions to help improve young people’s lives.

Careers Guidance

There are many industries that most people would never think of getting into unless they have a relative doing something similar. Futures is our service run in schools giving young people the opportunity to build employability skills and an awareness of careers and enterprise that most young people wouldn’t even have known existed.

Advocacy

Young people involved with social services have a right to an independent advocate. Foundations offer individual advocacy, Information, Advice and Guidance to ensure that the views, wishes and feelings of young people are respected and their voices are heard when decisions are being made about them.
